Virtual Drop-In GED Test Prep2021-02-16T18:00:00Standardized testing is stressful during the best of times. Thomas Branigan Memorial Library is offering virtual and safe in-person Drop-In GED Test Prep to help beat the stress and pass the test!
The first session will be going over the basics: drop-in support or a more traditional class set up, test prep materials available to students, and an overview of the online-only test. The first class will be via Zoom on Tuesday, February 16th, at 6 P.M.
Students, volunteers, and library staff will then outline what to expect with the following drop-ins. Students can help shape the drop-ins to meet their needs and available resources by providing feedback and suggestions. Drop-ins can be via Zoom or outside, socially distanced (weather permitting).

At the dawn of the 20th century, a multi-generational family in the Gullah community on the Sea Islands off of South Carolina - former West African slaves who adopted many of their ancestors' Yoruba traditions - struggle to maintain their cultural heritage and folklore while contemplating a migration to the mainland, even further from their roots.
