Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., will offer free computer literacy classes in December.
Each session is an independent class. Registration is not required, but space is limited. Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptops if space permits. Social distancing and face masks are required.
Basic Computer Skills – 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2021. Are you uncomfortable using a computer? Do you want to understand how to use it without the fear of doing something to break it? This class will discuss what computers are and some ways to properly use them in your daily lives.
Internet and the Cloud – 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021. Do you know what the Internet is? What about the Cloud? This class will explain these terms and how to safely navigate the Internet.
Write Your Resume Using Microsoft Word – 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 2021. A class for those who are interested in creating a dynamic job resume. Students will learn how to use Microsoft Word resume template. Basic computer and Microsoft Word skills is preferred.
Basics of Email – 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021. Students will learn the basics of sending, receiving, and replying to a message. They will also learn how to send and open attachments and print from their email.
