2021 Parent & Me / Tumbling Gymnastics Classes

Gymnastics Kids

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will be offering a four-week gymnastics session focused on individual skill development. This fun and instructional program has been developed with the wellness and safety of participants and staff in mind. Participants will be required to follow Covid-19 Safety Guidelines for Participation which includes wearing a mask (covering the nose and mouth) and will need to complete updated waivers and parent consent forms to participate. Accurate emails during registration are required to ensure registration process is complete. Cost to participate is $30.00 per individual.  

Program Details: 

Participants will be instructed by experienced gymnastics instructors twice a week for four consecutive weeks. Sessions will be separated by age and individuals will remain with their assigned groups throughout the duration of the program.  As an introduction to gymnastics, classes will offer a range of special motor skills classes with a clear emphasis on the joy of movement. The Parent & Me Toddler and Preschool program is designed to encourage whole body exercise, including development in strength, flexibility, and coordination.   


Session Dates:

June 7 – July 1

July 12 – August 5


Parent & Me Toddlers Ages 4 & 5 (Current Age)

 Mondays & Wednesdays 9 – 9:45 a.m.  1 – 1:45 p.m. 

Tuesdays & Thursdays   9 – 9:45 a.m.  1 – 1:45 p.m. 


Parent & Me Preschool Ages 5 & 6 (Current Age)


Mondays & Wednesdays 10 – 10:45 a.m.  2 – 2:45 p.m. 

Tuesdays & Thursdays   10 – 10:45 a.m.  2 – 2:45 p.m. 


Tumbling Ages 6-12 (Current Age) 

As a transition into this class the skillsets must be mastered in all previous levels.


Mondays & Wednesdays 11a.m.  – 12 p.m.  3 – 4 p.m. 

Tuesdays & Thursdays   11 a.m. – 12 p.m.  3 – 4 p.m. 


All classes will be held at the East Mesa Recreation Center, 5589 Porter Dr.


Registration will be available online only by using the “registration” link at beginning Monday, May 3rd at 8 a.m.  Space is limited and registration will be on a first come, first served basis. Program sessions begin the week of June 7, 2021.
