After a positive COVID-19 test in the City of Las Cruces Senior Programs, Munson Center, 975 S. Mesquite St., is shut down for a short period of time. Munson Center staff is working on a plan to get the appropriate testing completed for all staff members to ensure everyone’s safety.
In the meantime, Munson Center called upon the assistance of Library staff to assist in the safe distribution of a seven-day shelf-stable meal box and a frozen meal for the Veteran’s Day holiday. In addition to serving clients at Munson, Center staff cooks meals for the Sage Café and Frank O’Brien Papen Center. Due to Munson Center's closure, those centers have also distributed a seven day, shelf-stable meal box and a frozen meal package.
Munson Center and the City of Las Cruces Communications Office will continue to provide updates to the media as well as the City's website and social media pages.
