Silver Alert for 80-year-old Las Cruces Man

Thomas Joseph Caperton, the 80-year-old Las Cruces man reported missing Thursday afternoon, has been located and is said to be in good condition.

 

The Las Cruces Police Department thanks those who shared information on this missing person case.

Police have issued a Silver Alert for an 80-year-old Las Cruces man who was reported missing Thursday afternoon and could be in danger if not located soon.

 

Thomas Joseph Caperton, 80, was last seen about 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, near the Albertsons grocery store at 2501 N. Main St. in Las Cruces. It’s believed Caperton left the area on foot. His direction of travel is unknown. He resides on the 100 block of west Greening Avenue which is relatively close to the Albertsons store.

 

Caperton is 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. He was last seen wearing faded Levi’s blue jeans, a navy blue long-sleeve shirt, dark sandals and gray socks.

 

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Thomas Joseph Caperton is asked to call 911 immediately.
