As part of the City’s commitment to improving safety and security at City-owned properties, Facilities Management will be installing a chain-link fence with vehicle access gates on the perimeter of the property.
Site work is expected to start on Tuesday, September 1, and is anticipated to conclude by Friday, September 18, weather permitting. City staff will be working between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and on weekends as needed.
The work primarily involves cutting pavement, digging post-holes, setting posts, and installing a chain-link fence on the west and north sides of the property. On the east side, additional material will be added to raise the height of the existing fence. Barrels, cones, and/or warning tape will be placed as appropriate to delineate the work zone to address pedestrian and vehicular safety. The sidewalk along W. Amador Ave. on the south side is expected to be kept open during the project.
The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in that immediate area during this time.
Access to businesses and residents will always be maintained.
