[ARCHIVED] Carpet Cleaning, Shampooing and Floor Maintenance Scheduled at City Hall

Front of City Hall

As part of the City’s commitment to improve customer service, safety, and keep its facilities in proper shape, Facilities Management is utilizing in-house staff to clean the City Clerk (Suite 1200) and Communications Office (Suite 1300) along with performing maintenance activities in Room 1310, and utilizing a local contractor to perform carpet replacement in that room.

The schedule of activities is as follows:

· Carpet removal in Room 1310 began Thursday, August 27.
· Room 1310 maintenance will be on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30.
· Carpet cleaning and shampooing in suites 1200 and 1300 will be Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30.

For safety, be aware the contractor will be using the City Council Chambers southwest doors to transport materials as well as moving them down the hallways. Otherwise, work will be confined to the affected areas. Work will be scheduled to create the least inconvenience possible. Carpets should be dry by Monday morning.

For information, call the Public Works Department/Building Services at 575/528-3002. The TTY number is 575/541-2182.
