Spooky Las Cruces

Jack-O'-Lantern wearing a surgical maskHalloween 2020 will be one to remember, not only because it will have a full moon, but a blue moon, and falls on a Saturday, so some Halloween traditions may look different this year to keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.


To provide Las Cruces with a safe alternative to celebrate Halloween we created Spooky Las Cruces, an interactive and virtual celebration for ghouls of all ages!

The event has 4 components:

  • Saturday, October 31.
  • 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or until supplies last.
  • Mesilla Valley Mall, parking lot.
  • 700 S. Telshor
  • FREE.
  • No foot traffic will be allowed.
  • Please wear COVID-19 safe face covering.

VIRTUAL EVENT

  • Streamed at the City’s Facebook Page.
  • Experiments, crafts, spooky stories, a special animal encounter, Day of the Dead and much more. 
  • At 10 a.m. pick up your Free Activity Kit Goody Bag at the Museum System to follow along with the activities (limited quantities, no reservation required.)
