Chief Enriquez has been the Fire Chief with the Las Cruces Fire Department since May of 2016.
He was born and raised in Las Cruces. He attended Las Cruces Public Schools and New Mexico State University.
He became a firefighter in December 1997 and was promoted to fire inspector and investigator in 2002. Chief Enriquez served in those positions until February 2009.
He left Las Cruces in 2009 to become Fire Marshal, at the rank of Battalion Chief, for the city of Hobbs. In 2013, Chief Enriquez was promoted from the dual position of Fire Marshal and Deputy Chief in Hobbs to Community Services Director, and was in that position for two years before becoming Hobbs’ Fire Chief.
DC Arias provides leadership, management and reporting services to members of the Fire Department and the City Manager’s Office so they can make decisions and allocate the resources needed to accomplish program,department and city strategic results.

DC Smith provides direction and support to Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services to Residents, Businesses and Visitors of the greater Las Cruces community so they can be assured of a timely and effective response to their emergency and return to a normal life.
