Annual grant assistance through Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) assists low and moderate-income individuals to live in safe, decent, affordable housing. Funds are awarded to partnering agencies on a competitive basis to implement affordable housing opportunities for first-time homebuyers, rental housing and single-family, owner-occupied housing development. The application process starts in November and continues through a public process which concludes with City Council approval of the recommended projects.
Impact Fee Waiver Program
The Impact Fee Waiver program is a voluntary program established for the waiver of or the alternative payment from different sources of City-established development impact fees for all types of new affordable housing types.
Affordable Housing Land Bank & Trust Fund
The purpose of the Affordable Housing Land Bank and Trust Fund is to create more housing in the City that is affordable to persons at or below 80% of the area median income as established by HUD. View the income limits for 2018 (PDF).
