Welcome
The
City of Las Cruces Water Conservation Program comes
to life as a way to inform our residents of practical water
conservation measures that will aide in maintaining the sustainability
of our water supplies for future generations. This website
contains information to
help you reduce your water consumption without sacrificing your water
needs.

It has been the target of our proactive water conservation program to recognize the long range sustainability and measure of conservation success by reducing summertime consumptive (outdoor) use. Outreach, Lush & Lean landscape practices, enforcement, and most importantly - a responsive community, have demonstrated early conservation success exceeding our first 5 year goal of 5% GPCPD residential reduction by over 10% serving nearly 7,000 more people and still one more year to go before Phase II!
Proactive: the Best Management Practice
A gentler approach that SAVES.
Thank you Las Cruces Utilities Customers! Let’s – “Keep the Losses”!
Walk
your irrigation system now and make any needed adjustments or repairs,
before the April 1st irrigation schedule begins. Combined single family
residential irrigation places the largest demands on our water
supplies. New to town? It goes like this:
From April 1st to September
30th
> No watering of vegetation between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Effective Year Round
> No watering on Monday
> Even numbered addresses - Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
> Odd numbered addresses - Wednesday, Friday, Sunday

"Lush & Lean" link.
