East Mesa Reclamation Project

The City of Las Crues is proposing to build
a water reclamation facility on the East Mesa that will treat wastewater
to produce high quality irrigation water for use on golf courses
and parks. The proposed intent of this project is to conserve potable
water by reusing treated wastewater for irrigation. This hearing
is being held to present the draft Environmental Information Document
and draft Preliminary Engineering Report and to receive public comment
as required by EPA and NMED. Draft versions of the Preliminary Engineering
Report and the Environmental Information Document will be available
for public review beginning June 3, 2005 at City Hall, Braningan
Library, the Joint Utilities Building and this web site.
