Las Cruces Projects

Amador Avenue
        Open to through traffic with occasional lane closures.

Court Avenue
        From Mesilla Street to Melendres Street, is closed to through traffic. Detours will be in effect. Motorists should seek alternate routes when possible. Open to through.

Davis Road
        From Cortez Road to Aldrich Road will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained and detours will be in effect. Motorists should seek alternate routes if available.

Elks Road
        Open to through traffic

Solano Drive
        From Amador Avenue to Hadley Avenue will have lane closures and possible detours for north bound traffic. Access to business will be maintained. Motorists should seek alternate routes if available and should proceed with caution.

Sonoma Ranch Boulevard
          Open to through traffic

Stern Drive
        At Broadmoor Drive will have shoulder work. Access to residents will be maintained. Motorists should seek alternate routes if available.

Village Drive
        From Porter Road to Century Lane will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained. Motorists should seek alternate routes if available.

Various Roadways within the city limits of Las Cruces
        Kansas Avenue Lees Drive, Colorado Avenue, Rio Grande Street, Arizona Avenue, Maple Street, New Mexico Avenue Mimbres Ct, Lester Ave, Laurel St, Joy Ln, Klein Ave, Locust St, California Ave, Luna St, Bellamah Dr, and Calle de Sueños will have temporary shoulder work. Access to residents and business will be maintained. Motorists should seek alternate routes if available and should proceed with caution.

Spruce Avenue
        From Calle Sosa to Solano Drive will have lane closures and possible detours. Access to business and residents will be maintained. Motorists should seek alternate routes if available and should proceed with caution.

Lohman Avenue
        At the intersection of Solano Drive will have lane closures and possible detours. Access to business and residents will be maintained. Motorists should seek alternate routes if available and should proceed with caution.

Stull Drive
        From Ralph Drive to Magnolia Avenue will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained. Motorists should seek alternate routes if available.

I-25 Las Cruces, NM
The NMDOT will be working on along the median between Dona Ana exit and North Main exit, mile posts 9-5. Motorists are asked to use extreme caution as heavy equipment moves in and out of traffic.

University Avenue I-25
        The NMDOT and local Law Enforcement would like to remind motorist to use caution during peak hours as they travel south on I-25 and approach University Avenue. Traffic tends to back up at times and ask that you use caution, please plan your travel time appropriately.

White Sands Missile Range Notification:
        For information regarding closures you may WSMR at 678-1178 or 678-2222 for updates. Alerts will be present on the digital message board off US-70 east bound within the Las Cruces area.

I-25 Socorro County, NM
        The NMDOT has no scheduled closures on I25. Contractor Hasse will be doing work underneath bridge at 148.67 in both directions. Please use caution near and around these projects.

I-25 T or C, NM
        The NMDOT will be working along the shoulder from mile posts 72-79, please use caution as workers and heavy equipment are present.

US-180 Silver City Area
        A.S. Horner, Contractor to the NMDOT continues work from Gold Street to Silver Heights. Shoulder work on US180 in front of McDonalds consists of concrete work. Westbound traffic has been shifted to the eastbound lane and has been reduced to a single lane in each direction from Pinos Altos to Swan Street. Speed limit is reduced to 25 MPH and speed is posted through the rest of the project as 35 MPH. Please remember that double fines are in affect through the work zone site.

NM-478 Anthony, NM
        The New Mexico Department of Transportation will be reconstructing NM 478; junction with NM 460 (Anthony) is closed, detour NM 478 at NM 404 to access NM 460. NM 460 is undergoing road work improvements in Anthony from the Texas State Line to MP 2.0. Detours and lane closures are in place, Speed limit through the detour is 25 MPH, with an 11' width restriction. Use caution while driving through the work zone. Delays should be minimal.

NM-152 Hillsboro Area
        The NMDOT will be conducting roadway maintenance operations from mile post 52-40 along the shoulder. Please use caution as heavy equipment works within this area .

NM-26 Deming Area
        The NMDOT will be working with Fisher Construction on the roadway rehabilitation from mile post 0.0 to 25.7. Currently the contractor is working on the bridge as the project progresses. Traffic will be reduced to one lane with an escort car assisting with traffic control. Please expect minimal delays.

NM-159 Grant County, NM
        NM 159 at mile post 10 to Willow Creek is CLOSED beginning November 16, 2007 until the spring of 2008. Any questions contact David Munoz at 535-2881.

Doniphan Drive
        Nortex will be injecting high density polyurethane below the concrete pavement on Doniphan/BNSF railway east of Sunland Park Drive.  The north bound driving lane is closed; traffic for motorist traveling north bound will be diverted through a one lane passage in order to allow traffic to flow around the project. South bound lanes are full opened, with a 16’ width restriction and a 35 mph speed limit.  Please use caution. <
