WORKSHOPS:
WORKSHOP ON WILLS/TRANSFERRING PROPERTY AFTER DEATH
Provides basic legal information on
how the title to real property, such as land and houses, and personal property,
such as bank accounts and vehicles, transfers to other(s) after the death of
the owner, and the basic difference between probate and non-probate
property. Held

AARP
Driver Safety Program
(formerly known as 55 Alive Defensive Driving) will now be a 4 hour course
only. This program is still open to those drivers 50+ years of age and
upon completion of the course will
receive a certificate. Depending
on the insurance company, this certificate can qualify the participant for
a percentage discount on insurance rates for three years. Local
facilities will still host classes on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Certified instructors will still be conducting the classes. AARP member
fee: $12.00 per person/non-member fee: $14.00 per person, paid
at the door the day of class. Please bring your AARP membership card, your driver’s license (if you don’t have this with you, you
will not be allowed to take the class) and a pen or pencil. You do
not have to be an AARP member to take these classes. However, if you
would like to become a member, there is a form in the front of the DSP

New Classes We Are Exploring
Do you have and interest in leather
crafting? We would like to explore the
level of interest in a beginning leather crafting class. The class would meet in the mornings for 2
hours, twice a week. It would be taught
by Tom Zimmerman who has volunteered to teach others what he has learned in
past years. Class size would be limited
to 6 students.
Other classes we are exploring
are: shawl weaving, self defense and Tai
Chi Chih
(Joy thru
movement).
