Subject: Leave of Absence.

1. I respectfully request that I be granted leave for ten (10) days, to take effect on or about Dec. 23rd.,1916.

2. I wish to spend Christmas with my parents in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

3. During the time the 1st New Mexico Infantry has been in Columbus, N.M. I have not had a leave for a longer period than three days.
