Traditional Crafts of New Mexico
Summer Workshop Series 2008


In this series of mini-workshops, participants will have hands on instruction in various traditional crafts found historically in Las Cruces and Mesilla Valley Region.  Geared towards family participation, parents and youth are encouraged to enroll together. Class size is limited, so register early to guarantee space.  $10.00 per person registration fee required at time of registration.

Each workshop is a two day event, two hours on Tuesday and two hours on Thursday, meeting from 10:00 a.m. to Noon each day.  All workshops meet at the Branigan Cultural Center 501 N. Main.  Contact 541-2219.

“Visit Our Ancestors”
Cemetery Tours for 2008


Every other month meet with staff from Branigan Cultural Center to tour cemeteries in the Mesilla Valley.  Participants will find familiar names of those whose legacy embodies the origins of Las Cruces and Mesilla Valley.  Allow for 2 hour walking tour, little or no seating, over often uneven terrain.  Program starts at 10:00 a.m. at the designated cemetery.  There is no fee to participate.  Contact 541-2219
