The Las Cruces Museum of Art presents high caliber, contemporary art exhibitions with an emphasis on regional artists and works. The Las Cruces Museum of Art reviews proposals for solo and group exhibitions on an annual basis. Artists living and working in New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas are eligible to submit. Museum of Art exhibitions generally run 8-10 weeks in length. Show dates are determined by the Museum.
The Museum of Art Open Call for Submissions is posted on an annual review cycle. A panel of jurors, comprised of regional art professionals, select exhibitions with regard to strength of proposals and available exhibition space.
Proposal package requirements include:
• A brief statement on the proposed exhibition, including the medium/s of works to be exhibited, theme or general content of the show, and proposed use of space
• Artist/s resume/s including exhibition records and brief artist/s statements
• 10-20 digital images of works to be exhibited
