Neighborhood Pride Zone
The Neighborhood Pride Zone (NPZ) is a beautification project organized by Keep Las Cruces Beautiful to enhance the quality of life in our neig6hborhoods. The goal of this project is for the City to partner with its citizens to create cleaner safer and healthier neighborhoods.
The City and its residents partner to conduct landscaping enhancements, paint community murals, cleanup weeds and trash and remove graffiti. Check out photos of previous Neighborhood Pride Zones.
Keep Las Cruces Beautiful targets four neighborhoods per year for beautification and cleanup activities.
What are residents' roles?
- Clean up your property:
- Weeds and tall grass
- Trash/junk and outside storage
- Inoperable vehicles
- Graffiti
- Shrubbery debris on sidewalks or streets
- Work with your neighbors to beautify your neighborhood
What is the City's role?
- Provide paint and supplies for neighborhood projects.
- Coordinate recruit volunteers
- Provide refreshments and incentives for volunteers
- Provide loaner tools
- Place a dumpster in the neighborhood for removal of weeds and trash during the Neighborhood Pride Zone
