Codes Enforcement

The Codes Enforcement Section focuses on nuisances, which essentially interfere with the comfortable enjoyment of life and property, or tends to depreciate the value of the property of others.  Codes awareness also focuses on the importance of having a clean attractive and environmentally safe residence.  The key to the success of the program will depend on the citizens of Las Cruces.  Compliance is necessary to promote the health, safety, and economic growth and development of your community.


Crime Stoppers

Crime Stoppers is a community program which is designed to bring law enforcement, the news media and the citizens closer together in an effort to combat crime and make the community a safer place to live.  Crime Stoppers acts as a clearing house for information and ecourages people who know about crimes or about people who have committed crimes to call and give Crime Stoppers details. Crime Stoppers offers rewards to people who call.  People remain anonymous when they call. We do not know who you are.



Graffiti Hotline

The City of Las Cruces Codes Enforcement is tackling the graffiti problem in Las Cruces. You can help! You can make a difference!

Please report any graffiti and any information which will assist the City in the graffiti battle. After citizens report graffiti a Codes Officer will take graffiti report. Graffiti vandalism removal on private property is the responsibility of the property owner. It is in the best interest of the property owners to remove graffiti immediately after a graffiti report has been taken.

The City of Las Cruces Codes Enforcement thanks those citizens whom report graffiti and take pride in their neighborhood.

The mission of the Las Cruces Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in our city by working in partnership with the community. We will do this by upholding constitutional rights, enforcing the law, preserving the peace, reducing fear and providing a safe environment.

A non-profit corporation which gives legal services, without cost, to poor persons that qualify and that live in the 16 counties of Southern New Mexico. Examples of cases handled are: Consumer, Employment, Family, Public Benefits, Housing andvarious other types of cases such as Wills, Migrant and Native American issues.

The mission of the New Mexico Legal Aid is to provide free legal services to low-income ineligible clients in southern New Mexico. We provide only Civil Legal Services (non-criminal cases) in a variety of areas, such as Consumer, Employment, Family, Public Benefits, Housing and various other types of cases such as Wills, Migrant and Native American issues. NMLA is federally and state funded and is a private, non-profit corporation.
