First-Ever Play Day Event

The City of Las Cruces is hosting the city’s first-ever Play Day event on Sunday, September 27th at various locations throughout the city. The Play Day event coincides with the city’s designation as a 2009 Playful City USA by KaBOOM!.

The event will take place at the following times and locations:

8:00am- Free walking event at Desert Trails Park (no pre-registration required)
10:00am-2:00pm – Healthy activities at Young Park in conjunction with Ciclovia. Walking, yoga, dancing, jump rope and healthy activity information.
8:30am – Doggy Play Day at the dog park, bring your furry friends.

The Playful City committee is chaired by Gene Gant and meets at Mesilla Park Community Center. The committee’s purpose is to promote play in the community and to assist in efforts to improve the play spaces that are available to the public.
