Five Draft Documents
The City of Las Cruces, Doña Ana County and Province continue to work toward concluding lease negotiations that will turn over the operation of MMC to Province. Five new draft documents related to the lease are published today: Asset Purchase Agreement, Assignment and Undertaking Agreement, Assignment Agreement, General Bill of Sale and Assignment and a Lease Agreement

T he long-term viability of Memorial Medical Center is of paramount concern to our City, our County and our extended community. Maintaining MMC as the full-service acute care medical facility it has been, serving all of our residents, regardless of their ability to pay, is vital to the medical, social, and economic well being of our people.The City of Las Cruces and Dona Ana County, representing the public ownership of the facility, have committed themselves to preserving MMC in the best economically and socially responsible means possible. To accomplish this, the City and County have retained the services of a consultant to guide the process by which Memorial Medical Center is expected to enter its next phase of operations The consultant has established a list of community criteria that will guide the process from receipt of Requests for Proposals through final determination. All options to be considered by the City and the County for the future operation of Memorial Medical Center will be guided by the following community criteria:
