The Project
The Veterans Wall, located in the Las Cruces Veterans Park at 2651 Roadrunner Parkway, was dedicated on November 11, 2005 to all who served their country honorably, regardless of home of record or period of service. All veterans are represented by 7,065 names of veterans who entered the armed services of the United States from Dona Ana County and who served during a major conflict from the Civil War through the Persian Gulf War.
What's New?
As expected, our research missed some names of eligible veterans from Dona Ana County. We are now collecting the names of those who we missed. Those names to be added to the wall or changed are indicated by a “YES” in the amend column on the lists at this web site. Depending on our response and our financial status, we hope to add these names to the monument in the future. If you or a friend or relative meet the criteria please send discharge papers (Form DD-214) to:
Veterans Memorial Wall Committee
P.O. Box 817
Las Cruces, NM 88004
Names of Veterans of the current wars (Afghanistan & Iraq) who entered the service from Dona Ana County will be added to the monument after the conclusion of these wars.
As of February 14, 2005 the Veterans Memorial Wall Committee is an exempt organization under section 501 (c)3. Your contributions are tax deductible.
We urge you to contribute by sending your check made out to the Veterans Memorial Wall Committee to the address above.
