Maker Space

Thomas Branigan Memorial Library librarians have created a new maker space for teens. Come visit it on the second floor! Teens do not need a library card to use the maker space. Librarians are filling it with board games, puzzles, arts and crafts (including screen printing, stamp making, linoleum cutting, collages and decoupage), an Xbox and gaming center, a microwave and toaster oven, running water and the latest in technology, including a media center where 12 to 18 year olds can use professional-grade film and sound editing equipment like Logic Pro X and Final Cut Pro to make and edit their own films.

The library also has guitars for loan and will add a projector, a laser printer and sewing machines. There are also plans for cooking and costuming classes.
