Free Outdoor Fitness Court® Opens at the Hadley Sports Complex 2019
On Wednesday, January 30th at 11 a.m., the City of Las Cruces will cut the ribbon on a new outdoor Fitness Court® at the Hadley Complex (East of Harty Fields) and be welcomed as the first community in the state to join the National Fitness Campaign to make world-class fitness free for all.
The City of Las Cruces has made the health and wellness of their citizens a priority and now they are making fitness free — for everyone! The new Fitness Court® is an outdoor bodyweight circuit training facility designed to transform public spaces into community fitness hubs. “The new outdoor Fitness Court will provide free fitness opportunities for people in our community”, said Phil Catanach, Recreation Services Administrator. “We are excited to be the first city in New Mexico to be part of the National Fitness Campaign.”
The Las Cruces Fitness Court is part of a nationwide effort launched by National Fitness Campaign (NFC), and the City is teaming up with local ambassadors to connect their fitness community to free activities and experiences that encourage a healthy lifestyle.
“We see great value in providing free access to fitness and outdoor recreation nationwide,” said Mitch Menaged, Founder of National Fitness Campaign. “NFC is thrilled to partner with the City of Las Cruces, who sees this value and chooses to consistently invest in their residents. See you on the Court!”
Residents are invited to attend an Opening Day Launch Party at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30 for free 15-minute full-body express classes on the new outdoor Fitness Court, a competitive Fitness Court Challenge, free prizes and more!
