Small Business Program 2018
The City of Las Cruces will host John Martinez, project manager from the Sandia National Laboratories New Mexico Small Business Assistance (NMSBA) Program, from noon to 5 p.m. on March 7, at the Community Development Offices on the first floor of City Hall, 700 N. Main St.
The NMSBA Program allows New Mexico small businesses to have access to free technical assistance for projects that require testing, design consultations, and access to special equipment or facilities. Businesses can receive up to $20,000 in free technical assistance and tap into the unique expertise and capabilities of scientists and engineers from Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories.
The NMSBA Program has helped businesses around the state solve business problems such as redesigning a product to be safer for children, streamlining the production process for an energy bar, and identifying tools to make a mobile app more affordable and efficient.
The City is considering an ongoing program that allows business service providers in our community have a regular presence at City Hall. This would allow businesses to find out about services available to them and to help then easily access these resources while visiting for other city services such as registrations, codes, and other regulatory items.
