Valve Exercising Activities Planned for Downtown 2018

North Church Street and East Hadley Avenue area residents may experience low water pressure, no water or discolored water, between 8 p.m. and 12 a.m., this evening, Wednesday, June 20.

The City of Las Cruces, Water Section will be exercising valves in the area related to the Church Water Conversion project. This work is being done in preparation of water line tie ins.

No residents or businesses are anticipated to lose water service. Area residents and businesses may notice discolored water due to iron and manganese. Although the water is safe to drink, City officials recommend waiting to wash laundry until after the water becomes clear.

The discoloration should disappear within 24-hours. If it does not, residents should flush outside and/or cold water faucets for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the City at 526-0500 for assistance.
