Thursday Nights Music on the Plaza – Ryan Montano 2018
The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department’s Thursday Nights Music on the Plaza will feature Smooth Jazz artist Ryan Montano at 7 p.m. on June 21 at Plaza de Las Cruces. Montano is a trumpeter, songwriter, and arranger based in Albuquerque. His debut contemporary jazz single, "I'd Like That" peaked at #14 on the Billboard Jazz charts. His follow-up single, "Honey Girl" peaked at #13 after 20 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Charts.
The success of these singles led to performances at Jazz festivals across the country including a spot at the Seabreeze Jazz Festival, as their "Rising Star." Montano's latest release, "Burning Boats" features contemporary Jazz icon Euge Groove and is currently playing on terrestrial and satellite radio stations world-wide. With solid technique and emotive songwriting, Montano's sound is a captivating fusion of jazz, soul, and Latin stylings.
Thursday Nights Music on the Plaza will continue July 12 and 26 at Plaza de Las Cruces as part of the Parks & Recreation Department’s Music in the Park Concert Series, featuring performances by local, regional, and national musicians.
