“Remember the Braceros- Personal Accounts” presented by Raymond Cobos 2018

Join the Branigan Cultural Center for a presentation and reenactment of Bracero stories. The program “Remember the Braceros-Personal Accounts,” is presented by Raymond Cobos at 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 6, during the First Friday Ramble.

Immediately following the presentation by Cobos, patrons will have the unique opportunity to speak with actors portraying specific Bracero workers researched by Cobos. Actors include Zach Castillo, Hugo Sanchez, Gilbert Paéz, Steve Duran, Nadine Hartwell, and Steve Aquino. Music from the time will be performed by Music Alegre’s Olivia Paéz, Martha Griffin, Deborah Oliver, and July McClure. Spanish guitar will be played by Lazaro Castro.

Admission is free to the Branigan Cultural Center, located at 501 N. Main St. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For additional information, visit the website at or call 575/541-2154.
