Museum of Art gallery highlight will be Feb. 24, 2018

The Las Cruces Museum of Art, 491 N. Main St., will host a gallery highlight entitled“The Social & Political Commentary of Modern Art,” from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24.

Wes Kline, a New Mexico State University assistant professor and artist of photography, will also conduct a lecture highlighting the current exhibition “Politics on Paper: Art with an Agenda from the Syracuse University Art Collection.” Kline will discuss the roles of print and photography in modern society and the boundaries artist can push in their art to address social and political commentary.

Admission is free to the Museum of Art. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Saturday. For general museum information, go to:
