Saturday Family Science – Food Science 2018

Families are invited to“Saturday Family Science – Food Science” for an hour of hands on science experiments at the Museum of Nature & Science, 411 North Main Street, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, May 12. The program is free and open to the public.

Our bodies get energy from the foods we eat by processing sugars called glucose. Families will work together to hypothesize which foods are the best powerhouse snacks. Then, as a team, they perform experiments determining just how much energy we get from the foods we eat.

Admission to the Museum of Nature & Science is free. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, visit the website at: or call 575/522-3120.
