UPDATE 3 Crosses Avenue Closure Delayed 2017

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) has delayed the closure of 3 Crosses Avenue from Spitz Avenue to Alameda Boulevard scheduled for Monday, Sept. 11. The closure is part of the ongoing Solano Drive/3 Crosses Avenue/N. Main Street Intersection Project

The City of Las Cruces will issue a news release when NMDOT announces the new date for the closure.

When the closure is implemented, the traffic signal at the 3 Crosses/Alameda intersection will be placed in flashing red mode during that time to help control traffic flow.

Motorists will be advised to seek alternate routes as heavy congestion and significant delays are expected in the area, particularly at the intersections at Alameda and Hoagland Road and Alameda and Madrid Avenue.

City of Las Cruces Streets and Traffic Operations and the Las Cruces Police Department will be monitoring traffic flow in the impacted areas and will implement additional, temporary traffic control measures if needed.

Traffic updates will be posted on the City of Las Cruces website at las-cruces.org, Facebook page @CityofLasCruces and Twitter feed @clcgov.
