Biography
Robert Garza is a Native Las Crucen. He attended Las Cruces Public Schools and received an engineering degree from New Mexico State University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer and has extensive experience working with municipal budgeting, operations and capital improvement program development as well as grant writing and intergovernmental relations. With over 25 years of public service in a variety of technical and management positions, he possess skills in the areas of facilitation and collaborative thinking to reach goals with very diverse audiences.
He has worked for the City of Las Cruces for 21 years and has held numerous positions in increased areas of responsibility, most recently as the Assistant City Manager.
