Solid Waste
To provide, safe, economical, environmentally sound, and aesthetically acceptable Solid Waste management while meeting regulatory requirements and current growth.
The City of Las Cruces provides containers to approximately 30,000 residential customers and 2,100 commercial customers and disposes of approximated 1,600 tons of trash per week. The system uses a one-person collection vehicle that collects waste on a designated pick-up day. We provided the following:
- 64 or 96 gallon residential containers
- Grappler service to residential customers
- Dumpsters sizes include 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8 cubic yards
- Open tops are available in 10, 15, 20, and 30 cubic yards
We continually strive to provide the best service possible to our customers in the most efficient and timely manner possible. We also take an active role by working closely with the South Central Solid Waste Authority (SCSWA) to promote recycling in the City of Las Cruces.
