Welcome to Las Cruces Utilities!
We manage GAS, WATER, WASTEWATER, and SOLID WASTE for the citizens of Las Cruces.
GAS: We provide a safe, reliable supply of natural gas to 40,000 households in Las Cruces and Doña Ana County.
WATER: We produce approximately 6.5 billion gallons of safe, clean drinking water each year for homes and businesses in the City of Las Cruces.
WASTEWATER: We clean and treat 3.1 billion gallons of wastewater annually that is discharged into the Rio Grande and used downstream by other communities; and we reclaim 250,000 gallons of wastewater daily that is cleaned and treated for use at a nearby golf course, two parks, and in the future the new high school.
Other than water applied to landscaping, every drop of water used in Las Cruces is dependably cleaned and reclaimed or returned to the stream system for additional uses.
SOLID WASTE: We provide reliable residential curbside pickup and commercial solid waste service to residents and businesses within the City. Our goal is to provide safe, economical, environmentally sound, and aesthetic solid waste management.
REGULATORY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES: We provide technical services to the Utilities Department in the areas of environmental management and regulatory compliance at the federal, state and local levels.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT: We provide overall utility management and technical support in the areas of engineering plans, SCADA, safety, permit review, and water rights acquisition.
ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES: We provide financial, budgetary, rate and regulation oversight, meter reading, field services, warehousing, dispatch, and new installations to residents and businesses of Las Cruces.
