Transit Advisory Board
The seven-member Citizen Transit Advisory Board (TAB) has regular meetings on the third Thursday of January, April, July, and October at 3:00 p.m. These meetings are open to the public and generally held at the City Hall, Room 2007-A.
The TAB members are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. Board members represent categories of transit users rather than representatives from individual Council Districts.
These categories are: an NMSU representative, a DACC representative, a senior citizen representative, a disabled community representative, a business community representative, and two general citizen representatives. Current Board members are:
- NMSU Representative – Ophelia Watkins
- DACC Representative – Andrew Burke
- Disabled Community – Gary Manley (chairman)
- Senior Citizen Representative - Elizabeth Van Lauwe (vice chairperson)
- Citizen Representative (1) - Charles Harvey
- Citizen Representative (2) - Diane Brandt
- Business Community - Gene Pettit
