LIBBYs Book
LIBBY, our City of Las Cruces service dog, is now the star of her own children’s book - LIBBY, the Green Dog.
The book is an outreach tool to invite young people and their families to partner with LIBBY to make Las Cruces a more beautiful and livable community.
The 32 page book is bilingual, English on one page and Spanish on the facing page.
The LIBBY book project will distribute the book to all 3rd graders in Dona Ana County. 20,000 books were published with 10,000 set aside for distribution to all third graders over the next three years.
LIBBY will be a busy dog visiting every Las Cruces elementary school over the next few months.
Keep Dona Ana County Beautiful will distribute the book in Gadsden and Hatch districts and to home school students.
RJI Publishing will sell the other 10,000 books to make the project sustainable. The book is now available online at:
