Neighborhood Pride ZoneNeighborhood Pride Zone

Neighborhood Pride Zones are conducted in Las Cruces neighborhoods where there is citizen interest and support. KLCB partners with neighborhood associations and residents to clean and beautify in their neighborhoods. Community resources such as roll-off dumpsters or loaner tools for yard work may be located in these areas for citizen use.  Contact us about having a Neighborhood Pride Zone in your neighborhood.

Arbor Day 2011Arbor Day

Arbor Day is a nationally recognized holiday intended to spread information about the many benefits that trees have on society. Trees provide oxygen, improve landscapes, and boost moral of societies.

Since the first Arbor Day in 1872, millions of trees have been planted across the country, and worldwide. In 1970, the late President Richard Nixon recognized Arbor Day as a national holiday.

KLCB partners with the NMSU OASIS club and CLC Parks and Recreation to donate trees to Las Cruces Schools for Arbor Day.

The Arbor Day Foundation website has many resources for community trees.
