Governing Board
The Animal Service Center of the Mesilla Valley is governed by the ASCMV Board of Directors, which consists of three (3) voting members appointed from the City Council, three (3) voting members appointed from the County Commission, and the City Manager and the County Manager which are the two (2) ex-officio members.
The ASCMV Board of Directors meets on the first Thursday of each month to conduct business. During such meetings, the ASCMV Executive Director presents a monthly report of shelter operations. Additionally, citizens are able to voice their concerns regarding animal welfare issues within our community.
Agendas for each Board Meeting are typically posted on our website and at the City of Las Cruces and Doña Ana County Clerks Offices at the beginning of the week of each Board Meeting.
