“Chaos Collaboration” empowers teen artists to create artwork for exhibition, which showcases their skills and contribution to community culture. Research shows that participation in the arts improves a person’s physical and psychological well-being, and stimulates the creation of social capital.
Social capital is a form of economic and cultural capital in which social networks are marked by trust and cooperation. Goods and services are produced for the common good of a community.
The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department’s Teen Programs provide social, recreational, athletic, and artistic opportunities for teens throughout the community.
