Street Naming

Street naming and addressing can be done in a variety of ways. Most of the street names and addresses assigned within the City occur through the development process (when land is subdivided or developed). However, in the older parts of the community or along the fringe of the urban area, pockets of land exist where there is an absence of formal street names or even addresses. In such cases the following procedures apply. Regardless of why a particular area does not have an address or street name, the process is the same. The following information defines the process in which to receive a street name.
