B.    Double Fees - Where work for which a permit is required is started prior to obtaining a permit, the fees specified above shall be doubled, but the payment of such double fees shall not relieve any permits from full compliance with the requirements of the National Electrical Code in the execution of the work nor from any other penalties provided by law.

C.    Reinspections - A reinspection fee may be assessed for each inspection when such portion of work for which inspection is called is not complete or when corrections called for are not made.

This subsection is not to be interpreted as requiring reinspection fees the first time a job is rejected for failure to comply with the requirements of the National Electrical Code, but as controlling the practice of calling for inspection before the job is ready for such inspection or reinspection.

Reinspection fees may be assessed when the permit card is not properly posted on the work site, the approved plans are not readily available to the inspector, for failure to provide access on the date for which inspection is requested, or for deviating from the approved plans requiring the approval of the building official.

To obtain a reinspection, the applicant shall file an application therefore in writing upon a form furnished for that purpose, and pay the reinspection fee of thirty dollars ($30.00).

In instances where inspection fees have been assessed, no additional inspection of the work will be performed until the required fees have been paid.

D.    Special Investigation Inspections - For inspections in which no fee is specifically indicated, $30.00 per hour will be assessed at the time of request or issuance of the special investigation report. Exceptions to this assessed rate include mobile home installation waiver requests and inquiry by tenants or lessees.

E.    Off Duty-Hour Inspections - A fee of $30 per hour will be assessed when inspections are scheduled outside the regular duty hours of weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

F.    Partial Inspections - A $30 fee will be assessed for each additional inspection requested other than those identified in the Las Cruces Building Code for the particular type of work being permitted.

G.    Revised Permits - A $30 fee will be assessed when revisions to a permit are requested.

H.    Multiple Permits - A $30 fee per permit issued will be assessed when permitting separate phases of a construction project.
