CDBG and HOME Applications

Each year, the City of Las Cruces receives approximately $1,800,000 between the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) entitlement funds received from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a part of the continuing objective to assist Public Service agencies and eligible construction activities (from the CDBG funds) and low- and moderate-income housing development (from the HOME Funds) that serve low-income and moderate-income city residents.

Applicants are awarded funding on an annual competitive basis to implement activities which meet the eligible criteria as established by HUD and the goals and objectives as defined in the City’s Consolidated Plan.  The CDBG Program Year is from July 1st through June 30th each year, the same as the City’s Fiscal Year.
