The Economic Development
and Revitalization (EDR) section initiates policies and
activities geared toward the enhancement of the local economy.
Also, EDR coordinates with businesses, governments, and public
and private organizations to increase employment opportunities
for citizens in the Las Cruces area. EDR is involved in
downtown revitalization in a manner that increases the number of
people and spending in that area while preserving the history of
Las Cruces.
