Volunteer at the Museum of Art!

The Las Cruces Museum of Art is seeking volunteers to lead tours, work at the reception desk, and assist with special events for our new exhibit:

RODIN:  IN HIS OWN WORDS

Gallery Docents greet and welcome visitors, provide information about our programs, monitor the galleries, and give informal tours of the exhibits.  Schedule:  at least one three hour shift per month.

Receptionists make visitors feel welcome, answer questions, provide directions, answer the telephone and direct calls, register students for classes, and perform occasional clerical work.  Schedule:  one afternoon shift per month

Opening Reception and Special Events Assistants provide help with decorations, food, activities, etc.  During events, volunteers will promote City of Las Cruces Museums and programs.  Schedule:  per event, two to four hours.

In addition to the positions listed about, we are constantly developing new volunteer roles to match your interests, including administrative operations, outreach programs, and special research projects.
