Administrative Services
Providing reliable, safe and cost-effective utility services to customers in the Las Cruces area. By providing financial services and operational support services for the operating utilities.
- Provide new connections services and line extension orders for water, wastewater and gas services
- Assure quality and accurate meter replacement, repair and calibration
- Provide accurate meter reading services for utility billing
- Coordinate utility service connect and disconnect work orders with Customer Service
- Collaborate with City OMB and Financial departments in Budget and reporting activity
- Review and prepare adequacy of water, wastewater, gas and solid waste utility tariffs and rate charges and recommend changes as required
- Investigate and resolve billing problems related to metering and meter reading issues
- Coordinate and support the operational and project management sections in the Utilities Department
- Provide our customers expedient, and quality support services by keeping performance measures at target levels
- Seek opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness consistent with Organizational Structure Study and reviewing and implementing technology solutions in support functions (i.e. advanced metering and automated metering)
