Mission Statement

To provide competent, responsive, and cost effective services to Fleet Management customers, thus ensuring safe and reliable equipment when providing services to the citizens of Las Cruces.


Fleets Services provides cost-effective, efficient and dependable repair service to our customers, which are the various City departments that serve the citizens of Las Cruces. We intend to ensure that the citizens of Las Cruces will be provided with necessary services by those we serve. We intend to improve the City’s image and our image by going “green”; providing fuel-efficient vehicles and equipment; and reducing fleet size to the minimum required for task completion by our customers.

Fleet Management has a staff of 24 employees that provide total fleet management functions from acquisition, maintenance, contracted repairs, specification writing, parts acquisition, and fueling of the equivalent of 1,200 vehicles, ranging from motorcycles to construction equipment and solid waste units.
