For more than 35 years, the City of Las Cruces has been committed to serving the needs of its elder citizens. Today, Senior Programs is recognized for its wide range of quality programs and services for adults age 50 and older. Our staff, volunteers and members work together to provide the largest range of programs for seniors in Las Cruces. We serve more than 1,600 individuals a year, have more than 16,000 members and benefit from the skills of more than 250 volunteers.
For active adults, we offer countless ways to develop friendships, meet new people and participate in an exciting array of recreational, educational and social activities. For elders in need of home-based assistance, the professional staff of Senior Programs helps older people and their families find programs and services they may need to remain independent and safe within their own home. We offer a diverse range of workshops and events for older adults from all walks of life through our Resource Center and seek to make use of your talents, wisdom and experience through The Network Volunteer Center.
