Take a look at the schedule to beat the summer heat with science, art and culture!  Descriptions of the camps and registration forms are found below.  All registrations must be completed in person at the museum and must be paid via check or cash.  We are sorry, but the museums are unable to take a credit card payment at this time.

Be A Naturalist

  • June 2 – 6
  • 8:00 – 2:00 pm
  • Grades 6 – 8
  • $150 for the week, Limit 13

Learn what it means to be a naturalist.  Explore the lives of animals and how the environment/ecosystem can affect them through games, experiments, and close encounters.   Create a field notebook and use it during nature hikes and a visit to the El Paso Zoo.

Summer Science Mash Up

  • 8:00 – 12:00
  • Grades 1 – 2
  • $100 for the week, Limit 20

Calling all mad scientists!  Join the museum for a series of exciting explorations about science.  Each day we will dive into a different topic of chemistry or physics for a down & dirty investigation of science!

Microscopic Worlds

  • June 23 – 27
  • 8:00 – 12:00
  • Grades 6 – 8
  • $125 for the week, Limit 14

Humans have 10 times more bacterial cells in and on their bodies than they do human cells!  The micro-world is an exciting place and it’s here to stay!  Learn to appreciate the little creatures in the micro-world in this summer camp.  Use a dissecting scope to get a close up view of your dissection.  Learn to culture bacteria and the techniques used to view it under a light microscope.  Collect and observe living pond water samples and experiment with the effects humans have on the ecosystem.
