Team Up to Clean Up District 5 Event – Call for Volunteers

Volunteers Needed! Get rid of weeds, trash/junk, graffiti and other debris in your neighborhood the “Team Up to Clean Up” way! The Parks & Recreation Department Keep Las Cruces Beautiful (KLCB) will hold its next Team Up to Clean Up event from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, August 17, in District 5 (represented by Councilor Gill M. Sorg). Roll-off containers, provided by Las Cruces Utilities Solid Waste, will be available at the Elks Lodge, 3000 Elks Drive, and 5995 Bataan Memorial (vacant lot west of address) for District 5 residents to utilize for the event. KLCB staff will have a supply station at both locations and can provide information for specific clean up locations, if needed. Keep Las Cruces Beautiful, Parks, and LCPD Codes Enforcements will be at both locations to provide additional information. 

Recruit your neighbors and friends to join efforts to maintain property beginning where you live. Anyone living in District 5 can contribute to the beautification of the City of Las Cruces by joining KLCB to help clean up their neighborhood! 

More than a ton of trash was collected at both District 4 and District 1 Team Up to Clean Up events in recent months. Volunteers took advantage of the roll-off containers provided as part of the clean ups to dispose of large junk and garbage. Please call 575/528-4506 to get more information.
