As part of the City of Las Cruces’ commitment to improve customer service, safety, and maintain its facilities, roof repairs covered under the City’s warranty program will take place at the Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave. Work is scheduled to begin this week and should be completed in approximately 10 days. Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
During this time, the aquatic center will remain open and accessible both from the E. Hadley Avenue entrance to the south and the N. Solano Drive entrance to the west. The primary area affected is employee and delivery parking on the north side. The purpose of the work is to perform warranty repairs to the roof, including replacement of certain areas, and other necessary activities to mitigate the potential for roof issues.
Impact to aquatic center patrons is expected to be minimal, with site programs and activities continuing as scheduled. City staff will work closely with the contractor to monitor any potential impacts to operations.
The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in that immediate area during this time.
